The Pacific Diabetes Today Resource
Center (PDTRC) was established in 1999
as a regional Diabetes
Today training center to extend the technical leadership and
support of the National Diabetes Today Training Center to the Pacific
Region, including Hawai‘i, American Samoa, the Federated Sates
of Micronesia, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Republic of the
Marshall Islands, the Republic of Belau, and national and regional
organizations serving this region and local communities. Funding
for this project came from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(Contract No. 200-98-0425). Although PDTRC activities ended
in 2004, many of the resources developed through the program are still
available.
